SECURITY SYSTEM INSTRUCTIONS

1. ARMING ERROR

An error tone will sound if the system is unable to arm.  This will happen in the system is not ready to arm, (a door is open or movement in front of a motion detector) or if an incorrect user code has been entered.  If this happens press the (#) and try again. 


NOTE: Any time you press the * and any other number you will need to press the # to return to normal operation.  Also if an error is made when entering your code press the # to clear it out and return to normal.  If the keypad is beeping press the # to silence.  


2. BYPASS

To bypass any zone press *1 then  follow the directions on the screen use < >'s to find the desired zone(s) and then select bypass by pressing the * and the # to return to normal operation.

The bypass indicator should remain on. After you arm and disarm the system the bypass will clear.


3. CHIME

Press the * then 4 to turn the chime feature ON and OFF.


4. CODES (example: *5 - master code - 01- new code - #)

Press * then 5, then your master code, then (0) then use the < > keys to find the code that you wish to change, add or delete.  To edit a user press the * then enter a new four digit code, and # to return to normal. 

To erase a code select the user to be erased press the * and it will be erased.


5. DISARMING ERROR

If you enter an incorrect code the system will not disarm, press the (#) and enter the correct code.


4. FALSE ALARM

If the alarm was accidental, enter your Access Code to silence the alarm, then call your monitoring station to avoid a dispatch.


5. INSTANT ARM

Press * then 9 and enter your code to arm the system without any entry delay time. NOTE:  This has no effect on the exit time delay.  (When using the *9 Instant arm you will still have whatever exit time to leave, but there will not be any entry time delay.)


6. MEMORY

When an alarm occurs the Memory indicator will turn on.  To view which zone caused the alarm press the * then 3.  When finished press # to return to normal.


7. SMOKE DETECTOR RESET

Press and hold the RESET button on the right or press * 7 2


8. TROUBLE

When a trouble condition is detected the Trouble indicator will turn on and the keypad will beep every 10 seconds.  Press the # to silence the beeps. Press the * then 2 in order to view the trouble condition.

Call for service or replace the back up battery in the main control box
AC TROUBLE
Check your fuse box or circuit breakers; call for service if the trouble cannot be corrected
AUX SUPPLY TROUBLE
Call for service.
TLM TROUBLE
There is a problem with the telephone line. If the telephones on the premises are running normally and the trouble condition persists, call for service.
FTC TROUBLE
Call for service.
BELL CCT TROUBLE
Call for service.
FIRE TROUBLE
Call for service.
LOSS OF TIME
See below User Functions/ Time and Date

Press # to return to normal 


9. USER FUNCTIONS/TIME AND DATE

To set the time and date on the system, perform the following:

1. Enter a Master code and press [9].

2. Use the keypad arrow keys (< >) to scroll to the display “Set System

Time.” Press [✱].

3. Enter the current time in 24 hour format (HHMM). For instance, to

program 3:51 p.m., type in “1551.”

4. Next, use the keypad arrow keys to scroll to the display “Set System

Date.” Press [✱].

5. Enter the current date (MMDDYY). For example, to program May

31, 2000 type “053100.”

6. Once the date and time have been programmed, press [#] twice to

return the partition to its normal disarmed state.
